A Vancil / Stanley Collaboration, Paper Sky went on to place in two international songwriter contest. The challenge in the production of this song was the thick landscapes of sonics produced by Stanley's guitar tracks reminiscent of U2 stadium rock, but very much it's own creation.
Paper sky plastic moon built my world and nothing true except regret even the rain ain't wet
years will change, poverty, fame but rescue me love when it all looks the same to you
calling angels across invisible telephone line Pushing tables Like I'm a ghost that I want you to find And shine your love
glitter stars, Styrofoam toy cars we're driving home with open doors see the sawdust shores all that shines is cold and dark rescue me love with your beating heart -- I'm through
calling angels across invisible telephone line Pushing tables Like i'm a ghost that I want you to find And shine your love
Paper sky, Plastic moon Built a world I thought would keep you close to me But you lost the key Life is long tell me I'm wrong but rescue me love before I am gone see me
