Snow White Revisited
V1
In the twisted mind of the wicked queen.
Her daughter, Snow White, a rival seemed
She ordered the 7-year-old child abducted
Taken to the forest to be killed and gutted
Her lungs and liver to be brought back
Cooked and served as a tasty snack
Ch
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Tell me I'm the fairest of them all
Snow White, you say, is fairer than I
Therefore, Snow White must simply die
I will not lie easy in my bed
Until I know the child is dead
V2
The huntsman commanded to do this deed
A tiny twinge of conscience did feel
In the deep forest the child abandoned
To a dark, lonely fate midst animals savage
But this was not to be Snow White's plight
The moon did guide her through the night
V3
A tiny house the lost child did find
Where dwelled seven dwarfs who proved so kind
She told her story. They listened with pity
How could this befall one so young and pretty?
You may stay with us heretofore
But to all strangers, bar the door
Ch
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Now I am the fairest of them of all
Snow White, you say, is fairer than I
Snow White, you say, is still alive
How can I lie easy in my bed
Until I know that child is dead?
V4
In the twisted mind of the wicked queen
There hatched a plot, a hideous scheme
A poisoned apple, in secret created,
To ensure Snow White was exterminated
She'd go to Snow White in disguise
Beguile the child with honeyed lies
V5
Innocent Snow White was taken in
Ate the apple as the wicked queen grinned
The dwarfs returned to find Snow White lifeless
And wept at the passing of one so priceless
Placed the maid in a coffin of glass
Where she lay till a Prince did pass
Ch
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Now I am the fairest of them of all
Snow White, you said was fairer than I
Snow White, she is no longer alive
Now I will lie easy in my bed
Because I know that child is dead
V6
The prince saw Snow White, pale as death
Necrophiliac love stopped his breath
I'll take her to my castle far distant
Without her, my life will have no fulfillment
Clumsy servants the coffin did shake
Lo and behold, Snow White awaked
V7
Of marrying a prince dream most females
According to macho fairy tales.
No exception Snow White, all excited,
To her wedding the wicked queen invited
She who had Snow White cruelly abused
Danced to death in red-hot iron shoes.
Ch
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Has seen humans rise, seen them fall
Rich man, poor man, beggarman, clown
Vanity and envy bring them down
And so it will go for evermore
Humans don't learn nor from love nor war
