This is a song about modern day Hobo's. Inspired by the William T. Vollman book "Riding Towards Everywhere".

Verse 1:
There?s not many hobos left these days
They make it harder and harder to catch a train
Many cars are containers sealed tight as tuna cans
Some are called suicide cars with no place to sit or stand
Verse 2:
But once you?d hopped a freight it?s hard to stay away
Sights appear and disappear frame by frame
To see Wyoming on the deck of a chemical car.
Transports you back in time to the 19th century
Chorus:
My moniker is Cup O? Joe, I love the smell of coffee
I used to have a woman known as Ivory Twist
She loved booze and heroin more than she loved me
Don?t know if she?s alive or dead in jail or living free
Now the only thing I love is riding on these rails.
Verse 3
It?s like being in a kernel of popping pop corn
You see the world that way you can?t unsee it
It?s a swaying switching mile long conga ride
You?ll plead with God for another chance at it.
Verse 4
There?s violence and addiction on these rails
There?s also beauty, death and endless isolation
Motion and sound. Wind and the rain
Washes away my sins and my pain
Chorus
Yes the only thing I love is riding on these rails
